Love to Sing 2023
MK Acapella is Milton Keynes’ very own all male barbershop choir who are dedicated to singing in 4 part harmony and promoting this unique sound across the city and beyond. Founded in 1986 we have been entertaining crowds across MK for over 30 years. The aim of the club is to encourage the singing and enjoyment of singing in harmony in both Chorus and Quartet form.We are running a six week “Love to Sing” course, teaching male participants (aged over 12) and we'll be learning a few well known Christmas Songs but we'll be singing it in glorious four part A cappella harmony and it will sound fantastic. The course runs from Monday 9th October running between 7.30pm to 9.00pm for six weeks until November 20th but we then plan to have a concert on Dec 9th when you can perform the song alongside the chorus of MK Acapella for your friends and family.
You'll be supported by our Musical DIrector, our resident coach and the men of MK Acapella. You will receive quality vocal coaching to improve your voice as you slowly learn to sing some Christmas songs. The course is aimed at any singer who wishes to try a new challenge; whether you're an experienced singer, someone who hasn't sung for a while or just a a keen beginner who wants to move beyond singing in the shower. The four parts we sing in mean there's a place for all voice types and ranges, we're expecially interested in finding people for the Lead part that mostly sings the melody but the most important thing is just sign up and we'll help you find your voice.
We'd love to have you sing alongside us. The music resources will be supplied to help you throughout the course, but you don't need to be able to read music, as teach tracks are made available to help practice at home.This is a great opportunity to experience singing with an established choir.
